How to play Cosmic Snake

Cosmic Snake starts as the Snake you know — steer around the board, eat food, and grow one segment at a time without running into a wall or your own tail. The twist is what unfolds as your score climbs.

Controls

• Desktop: arrow keys or W, A, S, D. Space to pause.
• Mobile: swipe up, down, left, or right.

The cosmic twists

• Wormhole portals — paired gates appear on the board. Enter one and your head exits the other. A brilliant shortcut, or a trap.
• Special foods — a rare golden star is worth five points but disappears fast; a purple fruit shrinks your tail as a risky escape; a blue berry briefly slows everything down.
• Combo scoring — threading close past your tail or the walls without crashing builds a combo that multiplies your points. Bold play scores more.
• One-shot rewind — crash once and you can rewind to just before the mistake. You only get it once per run, so spend it well.

Walls: Solid or Wrap

Tap Walls to switch. In Solid mode, hitting the edge ends the run. In Wrap mode, you pass through an edge and reappear on the opposite side.

Tips

The game speeds up as you score, so plan turns early. Save your rewind for a genuine mistake, not a small one. And chase near-misses only when the combo is worth the risk.
